Later today TaylorMade Slings will be issuing a co-sponsored statement in response to the article released yesterday regarding the CPSC government warning against "bag style" baby slings.
TaylorMade Slings are not a "bag style" sling nor have we ever engineered this style of carrier. We, along with other manufacturers of safe carriers, support those working for the past two years to create safety standards for all baby carriers.
Unfortunately, the term "sling" is being used to categorize all baby carriers. The type of carrier that they are referring to is a "bag style" where the baby is deep inside in the cradle hold, hanging low on the adult, and possibly scrunched up in an unsafe position.
